Get Details -- Append Subassemblies

I need some help. I am using a Quote and used “Get Details” to get the MOM (just bill of operations, no materials) from the Part master on the Quote. I created a job with the same Manufacturing Details (again from the Part Master) as the Quote

On the Quote, I added various sub-assemblies that have their own bill of operations (BOO). I checked template on each sub-assembly, as well as the parent assembly. I checked the Engineered box and saved.

I went to the Job and tried to append details from the Quote into the Job. I could not get the sub-assemblies to append to the Job. I am completely stumped. Can anyone suggest somethings that I may have missed?

Are you adding a new subassembly first for the method to apply to?

A suggestion would be instead of appending - use the engineering tab in the job and drag and drop the subassembly on to the method from the quote.

This is a know bug which fixed in 10.1.400.24. The latest patch-update is 10.1.400.38.

10.1.400.24 Production Management Job Management SCR 192642 Application
Job Entry ‐ Get Details from Quote does not copy all subassemblies
from the second template quote line

The solution was suggested by Epicor support.

Bruce,
Thank you. I did not know of that functionality. Not quite ideal and perhaps it was corrected in later versions, but your solution will work.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Bruce, I just tested your drag-and-drop suggested method in EpicorTrain10 E10.1.400.16 and unfortunately it did not pull all the sub-assembly details. In fact, it resulted in the same outcome as get-details from a quote second line with many sub-assemblies entered in specific order:

a. Right click on ASM 0 and select Add Subassembly. Add ASM 1 (part on the fly) under assembly 0,
b. Right click on ASM 1 and select Add Subassembly. Add ASM 2 (part on the fly) under assembly 1
c. Right click on ASM 1 and select Add Subassembly. Add ASM 3 (part on the fly) under assembly 1
d. Right click on ASM 1 and select Add Subassembly. Add ASM 4 (part on the fly) under assembly 1
e. Right click on ASM 0 and select Add Subassembly. Add ASM 5 (part on the fly) under assembly 0
f. Right click on ASM 5 and select Add Subassembly. Add ASM 6 (part on the fly) under assembly 5
g. Right click on ASM 5 and select Add Subassembly. Add ASM 7 (part on the fly) under assembly 5
h. Right click on ASM 1 and select Add Subassembly. Add AMS 8 and ASM 9 (parts on the fly) under assembly 1

ASM1
ASM2

I even tested the drag-&-drop method from a Quote with one line only. Unlike the get details method it did not work in maintaining the ASM naming and order; very odd
