G/L not balanced due to A/P DM

You can use the toggle to post a one sided entry to fix your balance issue.

How it happened is scary.

We do not have that checked. I looked. I also tried to do the same
thing in Vantage currently and I receive an error.

Only two people have access to change that toggle - myself and the owner
who has been out of the office. And I know I did not change that.

There is a check box in the company configuration that allows unbalanced
GL entries, it's probably checked as you are getting an error. You can
temporarily turn it off to fix the problem.

I have a weird one. My GL did not balance for the Month of June due to
Accounts Payable. I tracked it down to a debit memo that was entered.
When I look at the debit memo under invoice tracker I notice that it
Debit A/P as well as Shop Expense. Instead of crediting Shop Expense.


I tried to recreate this - and I receive an error - Vantage does not let
you enter unbalanced distribution. Does anyone know how this could have
happened. We save our group edit list reports. When I look at it the
g/l account recap it is unbalanced. Which we should have caught but so
should have Vantage. Does anyone know what she could have done to let
Vantage bypass this?
