Subj:RE: [Vantage] FW: 8.03.409a PO Problem
Rob ? it is a conversion bug ? there is an SCR out there for it and also a one-off fix.
The subcontract Purchase orders are ok as are the purchase to stock.
Just the purchase direct to jobs items are affected.

In the middle of testing 409a also so quite interested.
When you upgraded to a test environment, did you verify the conversion didn't plop in your default purchased mtl gl acct code for all part records (which would over-ride any part class specific gl code variants)?
We don't utilize ANY buy direct parts (other than subcontract services - which I now want to go back and very g/l is correct in the jobs... tested std buy to stock POs and that seemed OK but never thought to look at subcontract POs linked to job OPs).
Seems to me if it isn't some conversion problem, it would be a job detail generation bug (that might then produce a PO with faulty g/l... Have to look at data structures tomorrow & maybe run a trace to see what drives what in the multi app process. (I don't THINK it would be at approved rev method data level but this IS Vantage.)
Very interested in learning what you discover.

We discovered one more issue with 409A.
When you issue a PO for job material, the line entered does not pick up the part class, thereby the G/L account on that PO line is not correct.
They have a one-off solution for it.
I?ve tried to get a list of issues with 409A that have one-off solutions, but that didn?t fly. If anyone has access to this information could you explain how to get it?
