My direct client, in the shipping industry company, has an immediate need for a Business Analyst- ERP Epicor.
Duration: Permanent

Salary/Rate: DOE

Responsibilities:
My direct client is seeking a Business Analyst with ERP knowledge and experience with Epicor highly desirable.
This role is located in Newport, DE. This position provides training and assistance to users as required for application/database use, implementation, and productivity improvement. When necessary "writes custom reports for users after first assisting users in learning how to do this for themselves. As tier 3 IT support, after hosting provider (Netsolus) and application help desk, assists in the identification and resolution of production and/or applications development opportunities related to the use of the IT management system software or utilities. Netsolus will remain the first place to call for desktop support. As directed, provides expert system level support and enhancements (custom queries, reports end/or macros) that provide efficiency and effectiveness upgrades for large groups of users. Manages and improves the relationship with our IT vendors including Netsolus, Epicor, Salesforce and others. Maintains the local server and IT infrastructure in concert with
Netsolus. Maintains standards and documentation for systems and systems access and use.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for on time and on specification completion of those IT and reporting activities specifically assigned and agreed upon.
2. Assures the timely completion of prioritized IT projects and estimated costs especially including report writing, BAQs and user training.
3. With the Netsolus Help Desk as the front end, implements and services accurate, secure, and timely application use, maintenance and administration.
4. Maintains accurate and up-to-date knowledge of system, application and asset information (e.g. licensing, user accounts, etc.) and requirements for maximizing application potential.
5. Ensures that applications/databases are designed to meet requirements at the lowest possible costs.
6. As directed, prioritizes, plans, schedules, and performs tasks to assure orderly additions and/or changes to applications.
7. Specific knowledge and support of financial analysis, Epicor financial support and periodic reporting.
Knowledge and Skills:
Generally familiar with systems design, programming, and oral and written communications.
Knowledge of financial business processes and their interrelationships is desirable, and experience or specialized knowledge of the logistics/warehousing/automation industry in particular.
Proactive, communicative, customer service orientation and approach.
Self-starter, capable and comfortable working independently and/or as part of a team.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Accounting, or Computer Science), or equivalent work experience.
Three (3) to five (5) years in database management, IT analysis, ERP management, and/or Data Processing with a minimum of two (2) years of experience with application/ERP/database management systems (MySQL, SQL, Oracle, IBM), or two (2) years as a power user/programmer/analyst utilizing an ERP system Epicor strongly preferred.
Experience using, administering and/or implementing ERP systems Epicor strongly preferred.
