Anyone else using Forecast and the SO’s are not consuming the Forecast? We have Before 0 and After 30 set for forecasting.
any thoughts?

We also have a Forecast not showing in Time Phase so it is never getting consumed.
Any one?? We are struggling on this.
Been a while since I looked at this.
What happens if you change the value of before to 30 as well - is this consumed?
To confirm you have sales orders consuming forecast not jobs?
Do the dates and quantities on the sales orders and the forecast correlate.
Ok thanks…
I changed the days before to 30 and have days after at 30. Here is a screen shot of the Time Phase and Forecast still the same…not consumed by a SO. Maybe I am just missing something.
you can see here that in Forecast Entry nothing is getting consumed. There are SO’s for that customer within the 30 days
Hi, having quick glance the timephase is correct.
the consumed qty without looking at the data would need a closer look are you shipping straight from jobs?
No we are shipping from stock. I don’t see the QTY consumed. Should the Forecast drop off Time Phase if consumed?
I think you might need days of supply to be completed…
Nancy
Why do you think we would need days of supply? But it is optional field…
Yeah, I guess you are right, per test below. We use days of supply always to combine demands but I guess for forecasting it is not required. We use forecasting but do not want it to get consumed. We use it to drive long lead purchasing suggestions.
However, I ran a test on a part and pushed out the forecast 150 days before and after and 0 days of supply. The forecast of 12 is consumed by the orders and the job. I have it in generally, not against any customer. Have you tried running it generically first, no customer, to see if the customer tie might be the problem?
Nancy
So this is fairly new to me. I don’t see how the forecast is consumed in the Time Phase in your screen shot. I guess I just don’t know how to read this right.
The forecast is for 12 (look at source column) but the required qty column shows need for 6. I think this is because I have sales order demand for 3 + Job demand for 2 + 1 = 6 demand consuming the forecast.
Are you running either generate PO suggestions or MRP? We run MRP. Looking at help i see this in regards to it…
Yes suggestions run when we run MRP and we also run PO Suggestions on Tuesday when we don’t run MRP.
Hi, are there suggestions being generated for that part, is the part set for po suggestions? There be a logic issue against the mps
yes and yes
Can I ask some silly questions, it looks like you are mps, forecasts and po suggestions against the same part? Irrespective of any epicor logic is demand correct? In the sense where the demand comes from. Your time phase seems to be correct in epicor terms, so is it just the consumed qty against the forecast in the forecast entry screen we are worried about?
Correct. We don’t see the Forecast getting consumed. That is our issue. Even when I look at the forecast Entry screen the column for consumed qty is 0 for ALL my forecast.
