Progress
When we run an AR Edit list (standard Epicor/Progress report) in the morning it can take 20 minutes to display the report. The morning AR group generally consists of about 40 invoices (edit list is about 20 pages long). We run a similarly sized group in the afternoon and it takes about 1 minute to display.
I have watched the directory Epicor\mfgsysdata400\Reports\user and the report shows up that directory as a .TXT file in about 20 seconds. But it does not display on the user workstation for about 20 minutes. Later in the morning and in the afternoon things are fine.
On the servers we run a Vista backup, Symantec backup and AV scan between 1 – 4am.
The workstation is left on overnight and the virus scan runs in at 3am.
To me it seems that there is something in Vista or Progress that is "sleeping or locking up". Maybe a problem with a process server hung or something.
Has anyone else seen this situation?
Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks for your help.
