If your using shop floor data collection you have "Current, Available and
Expected" tabs which show what items are "Available" for the operator to
work on next and are in date order.
Plan "B" would be your priority dispatch report which will show the same
type information as above. This can be used by a shop floor person to direct
what is done next or give to the operators of the equipment depending on the
mentality of your shop.
Plan "C" would be to create a global alter or dash board for someone to
react to when a setup or production run is complete.
Plan "D" have your operators walk around and pick the next job them self
hopefully using some type of intelligence looking at the scheduled dates on
travelers.
As for vantage if your way off on setup an run times or are very
inconsistent and want a quick realignment try "Load Leveling". Every couple
of jobs to pull in or push out the schedule.
Hope this helps.

Hello! everyone
does anyone know how you can put some sort of mechanism on controlling the
scheduling jobs in Vantage 6.1, because for some situations after you have
set up jobs for a particular estimated time-frame, jobs arent always use up
the planned times. As for some job operations are finished ahead of time
and/or overtime.
How can I better manage this in Vantage 6.1? As when a job has finished with
a work centre at a particular time would like to start up the next job on
the same work centre to better manage the work centre and resources.
Any suggestions would be gladly appreciated. Thanks
