Filtering a dashboard view

Hello! Happy New Year!
I am trying to filter a dashboard grid view based on a moving criteria. We want to filter to current month, then +/- a few months on subsequent tabs. The problem is: I am not looking at the data in terms of calendar months. We use fiscal month/period and so I am effectively trying to write an expression (like I can do in the BAQ) to determine the current fiscal month and year and then filter by it. Can I do that in a dashboard filter? It doesn’t seem terribly obvious and I did not find any other such issues in here.

Dashboard filter-current year minus 1

Here is how I have done something similar: Create a calculated field in the BAQ that is simply a flag… possible answers are “ThisYear”, “LastYear”, and “BeforeLastYear”. This calculation can be done very easily using the BAQ. on the Dashboard, you can HIDE this field, but using the TABS, you can still filter the data into three different tabs.

This appears to be a good solution. I’m going to give it a go.
