Extended UD Tables

Hi we just had the issue resolved. The procedure we followed was correct - we did not have SQL installed on the machine that runs the Admin Tools. We installed it and now it works.

Is there any ways to transfer extended UD fields from one database to another so I don't have to recreate them from scratch.

If you're looking for a simple click-click way, the answer is sadly 'no'.

Hi, I have tried to create an extended UD table for JobHead (Epicor 9.05.701).

I have added one decimal field (called RDFlow2hrs), then ran the Update UD Schema.


I then restarted the App Servers, but when I go into Customisation mode, I cannot see this new field there.


Am I missing something?

 What you did should have worked.

Can you see them in a simple BAQ?


Can you go into the Epicor DB (in SQL Management Console) and see a table called JobHead_UD table ?

Have you checked the serverlog to make sure you did not get any errors?


I have done this a couple of times, and it has worked. So we just need to figure out the step you might have missed.

Does anyone have any instructions on how to get the extended ud tables to work in 9.05. I created it through Epicor’s form, but it does not appear throughout the system.

In the Epicor Admin Tools on the server you need to run the UD Schema Update when no one is logged into the system.
