I just got this from Vantage Today:
Summary: XA How can I print a report from Vantage or Vista to a file?

QUESTION:
How can I print a report from Vantage or Vista to a file?
ANSWER:
You can add a Generic printer to your printer folder as follows:
1. Go to My Computer\Printers and select Add Printer.
2. Select local printer and Generic.
3. Select FILE: as your printer port.
When the printer has been added, it will be available in your drop down list of printers when you print the report. Select the Generic printer. The report will run, and then it will give you an option of which file you want it to go to. Choose a folder to print to (or create a new folder if you prefer). The report will print as a .prn text file which can be opened in Note Pad or Word Pad. You can then copy and paste it into Excel, Word, or other similar file, or you can open the file and Save as... and use a .xls extension or .doc extension to save it as another format.

Subject: [Vantage] Exporting Standard Reports to Excel
Does anyone have any information on how I might be able to run a standard Vantage report and "print" it to a file? In the past we have always tried to recreate the report in either report builder or crystal, but I have to believe there is a way of short-cutting this. Thanks.
Scott
