Besides XL Connect, is anyone using another package such as Jet Reports to write reports in Excel that are linked to your Epicor database?

I write Progress procedures to extract data to a txt file which I then
feed into my AutoRpts program Excel module which opens Excel on the
server, creates a file, populates and formats the cells according to the
data txt file, then the file can be saved, printed or e-mailed. Most of
these run in the middle of the night and the files are ready for people
when they come in the next morning. I've also have procedures available
from VBForm buttons so people can generate an excel file report anytime
at their desk if they need it.

Besides XL Connect, is anyone using another package such as Jet Reports
to write reports in Excel that are linked to your Epicor database?

I'm doing something similar. I have script written in VBS that use the ODBC to exact the data and then write it to an excel file. Some of them the users run themselves with a few input boxes to filter the data and others I hardcode the filters into the script and run them at night via windows task manager and the script also email the user and sometime the customer the file so they have them in the morning.
