This is driving me crazy, and I can’t find the fix. I create a job, time went by, and I want to delete it. No transactions have been done to it. I need to remove the demand link, so I un-engineer the job. When I click the engineer checkbox to un-engineer it, or the complete checkbox in job closing, I get this error:
It will then reset the job back to engineered, or not completed. Hence, I am stuck with a job that I cannot delete, and cannot close in the system. It is not the biggest deal, but it really bugs me that I can not remove it from Job Manager, and it will always be there as an option. Any idea on how I can fix this? It has only happened to me a handful of times.
I do, that is what my first thought was as well. I turned them all off, and it still gives that error. What is strange to me is that it is only happening on 1 job.
that is the thing. I can’t even get to that point. I cannot un-schedule it because it is still engineered. I can un-release it just fine, and template is not selected. It is only when I check engineered to un engineer it
Do you have DMT? If so, try to use the Delete option for that job using the Company, Plant, JobNum, and PartNum fields. If it fails, I have found DMT could provide errors with greater detail.
The plot thickens. I am trying to create a new job with the same part#. When I go to get details, I get an error, and nothing is pulled in. I am pulling the details from part/rev. The revision is approved, and doesn’t appear to have an errors.
Absolute shot in the dark, when you go to that part number in part entry and go go the active revision, does the concurrency say sequential? We’ve has some issues with release jobs where that gets cleared out for some reason. It’s a slightly different error which is why I doubt it is the problem, but heck maybe?
Also, do you have tracing on? I think in 10.1 it turns itself off, but when we were on 10.0 I had weird errors show up after I had left tracing on for days (weeks?) without thinking about it. I cleared the log and turned it off, and no more errors.
