Your problem is like Deja Vu. The 7210 is very generic and Epicor doesn't really have an answer for it. My guess is your on 8.03 but I would think this would occur on any Vantage Version. Epicor says to set up Verbose logging to try to trap the error but that didn't help us or them find out why it happened. We had several issues that we resolved and they were eliminating those people on wireless (we put everyone on a hard line), stopped all hardware scans during peak daytime, no more daytime backups (a no brainer), scheduled MS auto updates to off hours especially the server ( no more doing it at noontime ), made sure 8.03 was running on Service Pack 10.0B5, stop all network utilities from running during the day, off load some of our users from the Main Server to two terminal servers using RDP ( balance the load, we also put our 15 MES DC PC's on one terminal server, made sure all our PC's have 2 Gigs of Ram, we use all Giga Switches and Giga Nics, use
CAT 5e and did other little things. I think Vantage likes to run on a very healthy network without any competition. We did all this prior to GO Live and we haven't had much of a problem since. At least I haven't gotten any complaints about it. Oh yes, make sure you have enough of seats for the amount of users that need to use the system at peak times, it's funny when 120 people try to use the system when you only have 60 license seats.

Subject: [Vantage] Error message 7210
We use RDP to connect to the server that is running Vantage. I am
getting this error message and even when I click ok - it pops back up
after an approximate 30 second delay.
Message states This request cannot be completed because object is not
connected to the AppServer.
Anyone have a clue - could not find in the help file of Vantage
anything about error messages.
