Epicor10 performance vs Progress; and SQL Licensing

I seen performance comparisons between E9-SQL and E10, are there any for E9-Progress vs E10?

Any E10 sites migrate from E9 Progress?

Also I’m new to SQL licensing so this may seem like a dumb question,

I run E9 Progress on 2 processors each with 8 cores which would be 16 cores total.

Any strategies in not buying 2 processors or fewer cores to save on SQL licensing?
