Epicor vs. Infor Visual

Good Day Ernie:

The comparison would have to be to Infor's Sytline. I think Infor Visual is a less complete system.

In 2010, among others, we compared E9 to Syteline and found them very close in both cost and function; but E9 was slightly newer technology and seemed to be in a better place for the future.

There are companies that will give you a very detailed comparison for $1,000 or so. Some are free, but less complete.

Best advice: 3-4 Demo's with each package with later session focused like a laser beam on everyday tasks in great detail - avoid going off on tangents with the bells and whistles. For example, it was not until the third demo that we finally got both to admit that they did not store Usage ( independent, dependent, or total - you have to add it up each time. It does work, but cumbersome.). Also, speed, speed, speed. It will be even slower when in full use.

Subject: [Vantage] Epicor vs Infor Visual

One of our sister companies is going through a new ERP implementation, and I've spent a day or so going over Epicor with them. they're relatively impressed (they're coming from Job Boss and QuickBooks), but the CFO used Infor Visual at his previous job and would like to know if anyone here can compare the two.

Thanks!
