Epicor Social and Enterprise Search - 10.0.700.4

Hi Stephen,

 

I am trying to get notifications of record changes.  (We have a standard licence – not sure how that limits the options – I know we cannot edit or add notification rules.)

 

I have selected to receive notification of new customers added and new lines added to a sales order.  The Enterprise Search index is rebuilt each hour.  I do not receive any notification even after the Enterprise Search can find the change. 

 

If I go to the Notification Center and try to search for a Data Record, the message is:  “Error.  We are unable to process the request.  Please try again. (500) Unable to connect to Notification Source GibsonSocial’s ES search service.”

 

However if I search there for a Notification Profile it works OK.

 

(Is Epicor Web Access required?  We do not have that installed.)

 

Any suggestions appreciated…

What issue are you having Neil?

The setting should be as per the URL in company.

Anyone out there using Epicor Social?

I am setting up Epicor Social and have it partly working.  The issue is the Enterprise Search URL for the Index that ESE will use.

Enterprise Search is working OK in the application.  Should I use the same URL as is in Company Maintenance or does ESE require its own index.  If so, is there a template for it?  What goes in it?

The URL in Company is http://MYSERVER:8098/search/ERP10TEST

Any guidance would be appreciated...
