You have this because there was a time that alerts were trying to be sent without the correct info for the email server. In your case it looks like the EmailTo = xxx@;;
It is being sent to the smtp server with a incorrect email address and the server is responding that it can not be sent. It tries several times a second (mine did so 30 times a second) then pauses for a set time frame and tries again. This depends on your setup. It will continue to loop forever trying to send the bad email. This will also happen sometimes if you have an alert going to someone that has been removed from your smtp email server. The address is reported back as invalid and it keeps trying to resend it.

What version of Vantage are you on? For version 6.1, support sent me a fix to clear out the global alerts then we started up the process server with the problem.
see below : #4946MPS

Summary: GA Can Global Alerts be removed without starting the Process Server? - 6.10
Book: Support Solutions
Page: 4946MPS
PROBLEM: There are a large number of Global Alerts that need to be deleted before the Process Server is run.

Steve, thanks for trying.

I queried ChgLogGA table and there are entries with CreateLog set as true.
However, all of them have SendEmail as False.
EmailAddr and EmailCC are empty. It must be coming from different place.

Does anyone know where this is coming from?
I am trying to set BAM, and when I set GlobalAlerts\Email Process to run in a System Agent Maintenance at startup, the log, epicor-smtp.log.txt, is created with the contents below. It grows every few seconds. I have searched for any previously defined BAMs, Global Alerts or Custom Global Alerts, but cannot find anything.

Any suggestion appreciated.

Socket Email started
Input Parameters
EmailFrom = administrator@...;Vantage System Alert
EmailTo = xxx@...;;
EmailCC =
EmailAttachments = Alert.mfgsys:FileType=BINARY
EmailFiles =
EmailSubject = PO Changes
EmailBody =
EmailMIMEHeader = text/plain;charset=us-ascii
LocalHostName = EPICOR
04/08/09 11:57:41 opening socket
04/08/09 11:57:41 Socket Connection Established.
BPM alert?

Create a BAQ to look and see if there are any entries in the ChgLogGA table.
