Not quite down-the-road, northern IL here, but I will be attending Insights
this year.
This will be my 6th year attending Insights. A little bit of travel from Iowa but well worth it.
Hopefully I’ll bump into you all in TN.
Thinking/Planning of coming from Australia, It does seem to come a long way for such a short period of time. I was hoping on adding on a bit of travel to my trip.
Does anyone have any good places to visit around the area? I was thinking taking a drive over to Maggie Valley to visit Wheels through time.
Simon,
Nashville is full of music history and I also enjoyed Memphis when I went
through there to see the Mississippi River.
I’ll be there with bells on.
Jonathan Lang
I’ll likely be there not sure if we are presenting or not, working on that now. Hope to see everyone there!
Randy is right, Nashville has tons of music roots (music row), plus there a
many other cool attractions like The Parthenon replica, 2nd avenue night
life, Titans NFL stadium, predators NHL stadium, Grasmere zoo, a water
park, escape rooms (pretty neat). Nashville’s key appeal is that it’s a big
city with a small city feel.
Also I feel obliged to plug my Italian buddy’s Restaraunt - Bella Napoli,
authentic Italian food (the pizza!!!)
Outside of Nashville you have loads of things as well. Randy mentioned
Memphis to the West which has the low down on blues and BBQ (Beale St) but
it’s more dangerous these days- although nothing too horrible. There are
casinos just outside of Memphis in Tunica, MS (and dog/horse racing tracks)
East of Nashville is the smokey mountains (Dollywood), we just had some
severe wildfires there a few months back so I’m not sure what the extent of
the damage is.
South of Nashville you have Huntsville, Alabama which was home to much of
the US rocket/space engine development. There are museums and a theme
park/space camp
North of Nashville is Louisville, Kentucky. My corporate office is located
there so I make the trip ever so often but I have never really explored the
city (didn’t want to fight the traffic).
Oh and since you mentioned wheels through time, you might enjoy the
Corvette museum in Kentucky just about an hour north of Nashville (going
towards Louisville)
Never been but hope to go this year.
Chris,
Since it’s your stomping grounds we expect a personal tour. Your
friends restaurant sounds yummy.
Thanks everyone, Looks like I’ll be adding a visit to an Italian restaurant to my list of places to eat.
We were busy…
I enjoy going every year. It’s a great place to meet new people and network.

Does anyone have anything to add about the Extended Education: Extending Epicor ERP with Epicor REST Services session that is going to be on Monday the 22nd of May.
or to that matter does anyone have anything to add about the Extended Education sessions that are provided?
Simon
Simon,
I’ve been to them before, I think they’re a good bang for the buck. I’m
signed up for classes both Sunday and Monday. The REST one looked very
interesting too but it’s the same time as my other class. Oh well, maybe
next year.
I did an Extended Education many, many years ago in Las Vegas. It was a lab and we spent a lot of time getting the work station images to work in that particular session. I’m sure that’s smoother now. That one was on the Sunday and it was nice that it didn’t conflict with the other sessions and there were fewer people, which made it less hectic.
I, too, am interested in the REST Services event. I assume it still cost $260 even though it doesn’t list it in the description.

Wow - trying to pick an agenda is a full days work. It’s kind of frustrating the way the classes are broken up. I have to pick my favorite out of 3 classes in a block - tough choices, especially since I don’t know what will be most valuable to me based on what I already know and what I am doing in the future.
Mark, it looked like the REST was a standard class (I think all of the paid classes are on Sunday)
