might be time to start looking for outside support instead of keep using epicor's internal support services.

KKR Deal to Buy Epicor From Apax Said Valued at $3.3 Billion
KKR Deal to Buy Epicor From Apax Said Valued at $3.3 Bil...
KKR & Co.’s agreement to acquire Epicor Software Corp. from Apax Partners is valued at $3.3 billion, according to people with knowledge of the matter, who ask...
Preview by Yahoo

Bottom Line: Apax have taken substantial money out of the business as profit for itself and its investors, then sold it on, customer support from Epicor is still s**t.

So Epicor is now bound to be subject to another round of hires and fires, new people brought in to 'deliver' on KKR's vision for increased revenues and market share, and customers will be 'squeesed until the pips squeak'.

I wonder if Dot Net IT knew about this before they were acquired by Epicor ?

So, you do or don’t expect to see more like the following (from 05/11/2015 press release)?

In addition, Epicor announced a proposed debt offering of $2.1 billion. The proceeds will be used to refinance the Company's outstanding $1.3 billion in debt obligations, refinance $400 million of notes held by the Company's indirect parent and to fund a dividend distribution to shareholders.

Near the end of the linked Bloomberg article, noticed that “Apax will continue to hold Aptos Inc., a software provider to retailers that Epicor spun off in June 2015”.  So, the Secure Data Management solution not only has lost the Epicor moniker but also now has moved outside the same ownership group.  I wonder what difference, if any, that may make?

Sounds intriguing but I wonder how that work?
Technically, you be paying for support twice, right? I don’t know if you can remove the cost of support from your Epicor maintenance agreement.
Additionally, would an outside support really have the ability to provide quality support as new issues arise? I would think they would need access to Epicor systems to have access to the same resources.
