EpiCor 9 maintenance agreement

That's a different scenario, Mike. Your company is still paying for the
other portion of the system you ARE using. So yes, if you stop paying the
itemized $XXXX annual for the Payroll Module but still want to pay
maintenance on your other modules, you will need to deactivate that module.
However, if you just say "bye bye" to Epicor and stop full payment
completely, everything stays as-is. When a customer then decides after 24
months that they would like to get back in the good graces with Epicor, then
Epicor can/may/will force you to pay for the unpaid time, as well. I've
done this many times. CorVu was sitting on the shelves for 5 years, so it
makes no sense to pay $1500 a year for it.

See, it depends...I say it is free support and the actual upgrades are the
$25K. Otherwise I would be demanding my money back for all of the lousy
support I have received over the years.

Granted some of it has been great, but this is how I justify it in my head!

Yeha basically if you don't pay maintenance they won't send the repo man to
take your software away. YOu just won't get the updates and such. Or
support.

And keeping you licensed means you get free tech support and free upgrades.

Of course if you lapse and you want the free upgrade, you get to pay the money you tried to "save" anyway.

Take that for what it is worth.
