Thank you, that does help, although won’t really give them what they want. We have tons of (awesome) reports in Access thru ODBC and they want many of those turned into dashboards in Epicor. But without the ability to save and re-access subqueries I am having a heck of a time reproducing (not to mention the “bug” that exists on multiple summary tables being a sever limitation also)… thanks for the feedback I sincerely appreciate it

Hi All - I have been asked to generate a dashboard showing the job information along with total job cost, estimated cost remaining (etc) and total sales value all in one dashboard. I am working in the BAQ and when I try to total up the Sales Value it is not returning anything. This requires 2 summary tables which I guess is the issue, it summarizes the first linked summary table JobProd but will not summarize the orderdtl table – it returns blank. I am just wondering if anyone has been asked to make a similar dashboard and has been successful. This is driving me crazy!

From what I remember reading on the board, multiple linked summarized tables does not work on 702A.  I think that was it.

I would build 2 different queries, one for total job cost and one for sales value. Then you can show both queries in the dashboard. I build a lot of stuff like this (we are very heavily project and job based). I build 1 query with just a list of projects so the user can pick their project. Then publish the project ID.  I would then build the other 2 dashboards to filter off the project id selected and show the job costs and the sales stuff side by side or in different tabs.

I tried it also, the same BAQ with multiple summarized table works on 702 (or newer, don't sure), but doesn't work on 701.

yclhk@… : Could you share how you got it to work? I am on 702a. I have jobhead joined to JobProd joined to Orderdtl. Both jobprod and orderdtl as summary tables with a calculated aggregate field on each. Only the jobprod field is displaying, the orderdtl aggregate field is coming up blank?Â
