You can reopen the job and either post the labor through MES but, it will have a current date and time stamp.

You can also go through Job Adjustments but, I am not sure of where this will post.  Sometimes the offset account is your Inventory Adjustments account.

I am not sure if you are costing labor.

We have a job with 3 operations.

They accidentally did not close operation #2, but did enter operation #3
and closed the job.

It has not been posted yet.

Is there any way to reopen the job and make the missing entry for
operation #2?

I am using the DMT to populate open jobs with labor adjustments and material adjustments and got stuck on a couple of items:

First, for importing material issues by job (this is labeled as material adjustments in the DMT), my source document included all the necessary fields including the "Total cost" for each material seq. The import was successful. Although the material totals appear on all the jobs for each material line, the total material cost for the whole JOB is not calculated to appear on the prodcution detail report as a piece of the profitability equation. How do I get that calculation to work?

Also what table in 6.1 do I need to use to export the subcontract operation costs by job for import to epicor 9?

Thanks

Stan
We are currently going through an IT Audit.

Is there anywhere to see failed user login/attempts for Epicor?

They are asking about the logs for these events.

I don't know of anything inside of Epicor that could track that, but you should see events in the Windows Event Log for something like application errors. You might also look at the appserver log with the switch turned on for userID so that you can see what workstation attempted the login and failed. The appserver would fail to connect.
Just a couple of ideas.

I am making my first dip into scheduling jobs.

I have a user that has me to schedule the "Calculate Global Scheduling
Order", "Global Scheduling", and "Generate Shop Capacity Process" on a
daily basis.

Do I need to log in as the user to schedule these so they can view the
output or is this done as Manager?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

They can be set as scheduled by anyone who has permission to run the task.

Some people prefer to do it all under a single user, some prefer it under
manager, some prefer it under whoever wants to schedule it can schedule it.

The key is to setup the schedules ahead of time so they can be selected at
the time of initialization. Take into account when you want the jobs to run,
as well as what other things may be running at the same time. Bad times
include 7:30 - 9 in the morning due to a larger than normal demand due to
initial logins for the day, or another bad time is the same time you are
running a system or DB backup or taking snapshots if you are in VMs.

Also, make sure you name the Schedules something that makes sense, or setup
a unique schedule for a specific job or report or whatever.

We receive an RMA request, then test the returned material before

Can this be done via the Case Entry and workflow?

Any thoughts on this?

Have APM installed. Go into a sales order and tell it to print. It will print to APM and gives me a message that it printed. Thought it should display sales order on the screen in APM client so we can highlight info on the document??
We are considering upgrading to 702.

Are there any horror stories out there about it killing performance,
messing GL stuff, etc?

..........or, by some miracle, is the upgrade a 'good thing'?

We're going to it this weekend and have yet to find a new problem. But it still voids passed serial numbers to Stock if you're not using AMM.

Only new problem we found is a BAQ search on PO Suggestions is not reteiving all records.

The cash receipts selection screen was redesigned - you should check it out before going live, it seems to work fine, but is different.

Trying to do a BAQ to ensure all customers have GL Controls set up for
them.

I'm trying to figure out what fields on the customer master holds these
codes, or is it in a different table?

I see where GLCntrlAcct shows the GL Control Type and GL Control Code,
but I can't figure out how these relate to the customer table.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
