Epicor 10 hardware sizing

For now we have allocated 4 virtual processors for 63 full users and 50 MES.  SQL Server runs on a different VM also with 4 virtual processors so 8 for both.  We may need to up the processors when we go live in a couple weeks.  So far, about half loaded, performance is really good.

Reviving this topic.  Is 8 cores pretty standard for an Epicor 10 server with a 50 user license?  Do you have E10 and SQL on the same machine

Hey everyone,

We are beginning the journey to Epicor 10 soon.  We have a few questions..   What kind of hardware are those of you on E10 running on(Processors, Cores, RAM, etc.)?  Do you have E10 and SQL on the same machine?

What about a test environment?  Do you have another SQL instance spun up with another E10 install somewhere?  We are currently on Progress, so we aren't sure exactly how the SQL setup works.   For our test environment, we just used the same progress licenses for our test environment.

I appreciate your info!

Thank you!

Do you have your number of concurrent users you will have on E10? you can have everything on a single server depending on how many users, I would recommend another server for a test server,
