Hello,
Just want to know if anyone can provide the cycle count steps.
currently, I only can add part one by one into cycle count. we have more than 24k parts to be counted. Maybe my step is not right. so, if anyone can provide the cycle count step, appreciated !
Make sure you do a lot of testing. Sorting order matters. And the Data you extract needs to match the data you input back in. Good way to test is to copy out the count data and dump it back in so you balance $0.00 on your variance.
Symbols and Hard Returns in your part descriptions might cause the part numbers to jump, which is why copying the same data in and out will be a good test.
Well, OK, I mean I know there are many people on here that like to circumvent the built-in procedure. (I mean, who doesn’t do that in some aspect of their use of Epicor?)
But I just wonder if there’s not a way for you to do a full physical as a full physical. You may very well have quirks that demand a different approach. I get it.
We did a full physical in June - well, two - one per site, on different days a week apart. And one site has multiple warehouses. Each warehouse’s tags are in a different sequence (the oldest one is in the 50,000’s; the newest started at 1).
Also a sidebar - They did finally make a DMT for Count Tag Entry. I know it didn’t always exist, but I used it in June.
If you are planning to do full Physical, then you can use Initialize Physical Inventory option which will create Cycle for all parts under selected warehouse.
I have a similar problem, but I cannot find Cycle Count in the DMT. I am on V9. Am I looking in the wrong place… Inventory > Parts > [nothing like Cycle Count] is tin the menu.
I can’t say it’s not in E9, but it wasn’t always in E10. I remember looking for it in our first inventory (2017, on 10.1.600) and it wasn’t there, but it was in a later one.
