Engineering Task Management-Workflow Solution

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am trying to accomplish the following:

  1. A job is created, and an engineer/PM is defined as the “Planner” in Job Entry

  2. There can be a lag between those two events, but both are necessary to proceed

  3. A new Epicor task is auto created & linked to the job (Job No. appears in a field in the task)

  4. New task (#2) is assigned to Planner

  5. Need to be able to:

  6. Know when task was generated (date)

  7. Know when task target completion is (date)

  8. Know if task is marked as complete, or still open

  9. Know who is assigned a task

Epicor does not have a way to assign a Workflow at the Job level.

Hard to know if it will do everything you want, and until we actually see it how configurable it might end up being, but it’s a start.

When I’ve had to do things like what you describe in the past, it’s always had to be a bunch of UD fields and BPMs.
