Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am trying to accomplish the following:
-
A job is created, and an engineer/PM is defined as the “Planner” in Job Entry
-
There can be a lag between those two events, but both are necessary to proceed
-
A new Epicor task is auto created & linked to the job (Job No. appears in a field in the task)
-
New task (#2) is assigned to Planner
-
Need to be able to:
-
Know when task was generated (date)
-
Know when task target completion is (date)
-
Know if task is marked as complete, or still open
-
Know who is assigned a task

Epicor does not have a way to assign a Workflow at the Job level.
There is an idea showing as In Development called Approval Workflow Engine for All Masters and Transactions:

Hard to know if it will do everything you want, and until we actually see it how configurable it might end up being, but it’s a start.
When I’ve had to do things like what you describe in the past, it’s always had to be a bunch of UD fields and BPMs.
