SUMMARY
Schedules and coordinates the flow of work within or between
departments to expedite production by performing the following duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
· Reviews master production schedule and work orders.
· Establishes priorities for specific customer orders.
· Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data
and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing
processes, tools and human resource requirements.
· Plans and schedules workflow for each department and
operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences
and lead times.
· Revises schedule according to work order specifications,
establishes priorities, and availability or capability of workers,
parts, material, machines and equipment.
· Reschedules identical processes to eliminate duplicate
machine setups.
· Prepares production reports.
· Compiles reports concerning the progress of work and downtime
due to failures of machines and equipment to apprise Account Managers
of production delays.
· Assist purchasing with monitoring the inventory of materials
and parts needed to complete production.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Executive or Manager in charge of
Manufacturing, direct, coordinate and supervise the planning,
scheduling, material control and expediting of manufacturing for the
timely production of company products. Participate in planning and
establishing long range manufacturing objectives. Ensure the
processing of orders and the maintenance of inventory through
schedule planning, machine loading, material requirements and
procurement, etc. to obtain maximum utilization of staffing
equipment. Expedite rush and special orders. Coordinate with
manufacturing, Purchasing and Sales Departments, informing them of
schedules, needs and order status.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or
technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of KanBan system, MRP, and vendor certification. Must have
experience with Microsoft applications.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to
speak professionally and effectively before groups of customers or
employees of organization. Strong communication skills are a must.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest,
commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and
volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of
concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization
exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must possess strong
organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills.
