Is anyone currently sending 850 PO’s to vendors through Epicor and what is your current process? We are looking at starting this with one of our vendors.
We aren’t sending 850, but we are sending them using an EDI solution that was custom built. Service connect was not fast enough for us, also the cost was wayyyyy out there. So we have a custom windows service solution that allows us to drop a CSV with the PO’s enter them into Epicor. Or send them from Epicor with a button/automated screen method too. Is that what you are talking about?
Are you sending them from Epicor by dropping a CSV file? Looking for the process after the file has been created.
The service can work either way. So yes after the file has been created the service can do whatever you need with it. Is that what you are wanting?
What is that “service” doing after the file is created. When you say “service” are you referring to your custom solution? Does it then send the file to the vendor’s drop box location, etc.?
Yes the service I am referring too is the service we created to do what we need and yes it can programmatically do what you are wanting like dropping into a drop box location. It sounds like you are wanting a custom solution, however if all you want is to drop to a Dropbox location you could probably achieve this with a customization.
