E9041, Multiple entry programs?

It's a minor inconvenience for the extra features of it. I just wanted to make sure it was designed that way and I wasn't doing something incorrectly, so thank you for that clarification.

I'm adding customizations, and noticed that my JobEntry custs WEREN'T showing when I navigated to the JobEntry program from ProjectManagement-->GeneralOperations, but they WERE when I navigated there from ProductionManagement-->GeneralOperations.

In MenuMaintenance they are listed as the same program, so applying a customization should apply it to where ever that program is located shouldn't it? That's just my logic.

Thanks

Nick,

You need to add the customization to each menu item through Menu
Maintenance. On one hand, this seems to be a pain. On the other side, it
can give you some flexibility.

As one example, you might have a customization that applies to one set of
users but not another so you can have two versions of the same menu item for
the two different users sets. In some instances I like it better than
building the user group logic into the customization, as going forward the
person doing menu security changes can adjust the access in Menu Maint and
not have to go into the customization.

Jeff

I'm adding customizations, and noticed that my JobEntry custs WEREN'T
showing when I navigated to the JobEntry program from
ProjectManagement-->GeneralOperations, but they WERE when I navigated there
from ProductionManagement-->GeneralOperations.

In MenuMaintenance they are listed as the same program, so applying a
customization should apply it to where ever that program is located
shouldn't it? That's just my logic.

Thanks
