E9 Using Alias Tables in BAQs

What version of epicor are you on?

I have done it successfully in 9.04.506 but since we upgraded to patch 507A and had to get a one-off from epicor to make it possible to link more than one table it didn't work anymore with alias tables.
I submitted a call to epicor about this.

Subject: [Vantage] E9 Using Alias Tables in BAQs

Hello,

Has anyone successful added a table to a BAQ more than one time (created
a table alias)?

I've tried a couple of times now and each time, the fields from the
table alias are always blank even though I know the linked fields have
matching values.

If you have done this successfully, is there a trick to it?

Thanks.

Good Day Sean:

I have done it. No real trick. I always include Company as one of
the fields to link the tables.
Watch out for the direction of the Link, and sometimes you need an
outer join.
Sample attached. Also attached is the export of the BAQ file. It is
a rather complicated one.
It is a where-used for a JOB so we can find out what Sub-Assembly it
is in because some of our JOBs have many many sub-assemblies.

Sun went live on 11/29
in Epicor 9, 9.05.601B SQL-Unidata
Sun was previously on M2K (Manage-2000) 7.0 SP 5 (Informix)

I have done it successfully on 9.05 myself and cant think of any peculiarities. If you let me know the details of what you are trying to achieve I might be able to help further.
