I’m confused about part bins. The table PartBin.BinNum has the same data as WhseBin.BinNum. Is one of them going away?
Also, when I look at Part Tracker, the warehouse says NOT VALID. Yet a job picklist for the part displays WHSE MAIN1 and Bin ASM006B. Kind of looks like a conversion error or something.
WhseBin.BinNum is having data when any bin is added to the warehouse for any part, PartBin.BinNum has data when any inventory in out happen and has onhand qty for a specific part in Warhouse\Bin.
According to the system help, WhseBin defines valid bins within a warehouse. PartBin (as @fakhruddin said) is used for all transactional purposes. If the OnHandQty value is zero, the PartBin record is deleted.
