Good Day Stephen and Gavin:
Thanks for the response.
Since the HTML code is Greek to me, is there no way to get back to
the GUI customization interface?

There can be a number of reasons for this, one example is incorrect code
in the initialize code event A change they made from 803, when you now
test code it doesn't execute this method (during test). So it is easier
to get into this type of mess where you can't get back in.
To fix the use the utilities -> customisation maintenance menu to export
your customisation to XML, then use a text editor to comment out the
code in your initialize code method or newly changed parts.
If it is not a code related error then it is a property of some kind
that is causing this issue, you can remove these section by section or
look further in the detail to establish the cause.
Regards,
Stephen

Subject: [Vantage] E9? Custom Screen error- how get into it to fix
Good Day:
Sun Is on M2K (Informix) but,
Going to: Epicor 9, 9.04.505B ( maybe 9.05), SQL (live 7/1/2010-
maybe 8/1/10)
I was doing the training on Order-Entry screen Embedded
customization. I exited and now when I try to go in I get an error (
seee below) and it will not open in developer mode. It opens the 'base'
version. So, I cannot fix it.
How do you fix a custom screen when I can't get it to open in
developer mode?
Developer Mode >> click on Order-Entry >> get screen to select
Base or custom >> click on custom name >> get error box >> no matter
what you do at that point, it just opens the Base Screen.
I also tried " Reset Layouts to Base", but since I was in the Base
screen, that did not work.
I think I could delete the custom, but then I would loose all my
work. I guess I also need to figure out how to save back-up copies.
