Happy Saturday! 

I don't know if anyone's run into this issue.

ERP: Epicor 9.05.702A

Problem: 
BAQ Report Designer won't produce the correct XML file from Test Report Form for a Crystal Report.

Details:
I created a BAQ for Job Operations. Saved the BAQ as SII-JobOpDtl
Opened BAQ Report Designer: 

    Report ID: JobOpDtl
    Description: Job Operation Detail Report
    BAQ ID: SII-JobOpDtl
    Form Title: Job Operation Detail Report
    Crystal Report: JobOpDtl.rpt

Clicked Actions --> Test Report Form and I get the DMR Detail Report I created earlier. It doesn't process the JobOpDtl.rpt to give me the desired XML file I require to create a report. It does create a Crystal Report JobOpDtl.rpt though and puts into the Reports folder.

Has anyone encountered this issue and have a resolution? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It’s a known issue. There is a on off you can get from support.

BAQRD issues at 9.05.702 - this one-off fixes both SCR 121789 and 123305. 

Both issues are with Actions > Test Report Form in the BAQ Report Designer Tool.

SCR 121789 - - BAQ Designer - <"Record not found" message from Test Report Form option in BAQ Report designer.> SCR 123305 -  BAQ Report Designer Test report dialog displays unrelated form.

 

WHAT THE SCR FIX DOES:

 

You need to add  new menu item using menu maintenance Menu ID: BAQRep

Module: UD

Name: BAQ Report

Security ID: SEC00

Parent Menu ID Processes

Order Sequence: 120

Type: Non Menu Item

Icon: Entry

Program: Epicor.Mfg.UIRpt.BAQReport.dll

 

 

Client

     Epicor.Mfg.UI.DynamicReportDesigner.dll

     Epicor.Mfg.UIRpt.BAQReport.dll

 

HOW TO APPLY THE SCR FIX

Please test before applying to production.

 

Steps to apply fix:

 

Client

1)  Make a backup copy of the Epicor.Mfg.UI.DynamicReportDesigner.dll file in the Client directory.

2)  Make a backup copy of the Epicor.Mfg.UIRpt.BAQReport.dll file in the Client directory.

3)  Copy this new Epicor.Mfg.UI.DynamicReportDesigner.dll file into the Client Directory.

4)  Copy this new Epicor.Mfg.UIRpt.BAQReport.dll file into the Client Directory.

Ahhh Snap! So I have to get the SCR from support first. That wastes my Saturday. There isn't a work around until then? Hahahaha

The form works if you deploy it, it is just wrong in test

ERP: Epicor 9.05.702A

 

Problem: 

BAQ Report Designer won't produce the correct XML file from Test Report Form for a Crystal Report.

 

Details:

I created a BAQ for Job Operations. Saved the BAQ as SII-JobOpDtl

Opened BAQ Report Designer: 

 

    Report ID: JobOpDtl

    Description: Job Operation Detail Report

    BAQ ID: SII-JobOpDtl

    Form Title: Job Operation Detail Report

    Crystal Report: JobOpDtl.rpt

 

Clicked Actions --> Test Report Form and I get the DMR Detail Report I created earlier. It doesn't process the JobOpDtl.rpt to give me the desired XML file I require to create a report. It does create a Crystal Report JobOpDtl.rpt though and puts into the Reports folder.

 

Has anyone encountered this issue and have a resolution? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I ran the Test Report Form and retrieved the XML file and it is for the DMR document not the new OpDtl report I'm creating. I brought the XML file into Crystal and all of the DMR tables show up.

BAQRD issues at 9.05.702 - this one-off fixes both SCR 121789 and 123305. 
Both issues are with Actions > Test Report Form in the BAQ Report Designer Tool.
SCR 121789 - - BAQ Designer - <"Record not found" message from Test Report Form option in BAQ Report designer.> SCR 123305 -  BAQ Report Designer Test report dialog displays unrelated form.

Steps to apply fix:
 
Client
1)  Make a backup copy of the Epicor.Mfg.UI.DynamicReportDesigner.dll file in the Client directory.
2)  Make a backup copy of the Epicor.Mfg.UIRpt.BAQReport.dll file in the Client directory.
3)  Copy this new Epicor.Mfg.UI.DynamicReportDesigner.dll file into the Client Directory.
4)  Copy this new Epicor.Mfg.UIRpt.BAQReport.dll file into the Client Directory.

I don't know if anyone's run into this issue.
 
ERP: Epicor 9.05.702A
 
Problem: 
BAQ Report Designer won't produce the correct XML file from Test Report Form for a Crystal Report.
 
Details:
I created a BAQ for Job Operations. Saved the BAQ as SII-JobOpDtl
Opened BAQ Report Designer: 
 
    Report ID: JobOpDtl
    Description: Job Operation Detail Report
    BAQ ID: SII-JobOpDtl
    Form Title: Job Operation Detail Report
    Crystal Report: JobOpDtl.rpt
 
Clicked Actions --> Test Report Form and I get the DMR Detail Report I created earlier. It doesn't process the JobOpDtl.rpt to give me the desired XML file I require to create a report. It does create a Crystal Report JobOpDtl.rpt though and puts into the Reports folder.
 
Has anyone encountered this issue and have a resolution? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BAQRD issues at 9.05.702 - this one-off fixes both SCR 121789 and 123305. 
Both issues are with Actions > Test Report Form in the BAQ Report Designer Tool.
SCR 121789 - - BAQ Designer - <"Record not found" message from Test Report Form option in BAQ Report designer.> SCR 123305 -  BAQ Report Designer Test report dialog displays unrelated form.
 
WHAT THE SCR FIX DOES:
 
You need to add  new menu item using menu maintenance Menu ID: BAQRep
Module: UD
Name: BAQ Report
Security ID: SEC00
Parent Menu ID Processes
Order Sequence: 120
Type: Non Menu Item
Icon: Entry
Program: Epicor.Mfg.UIRpt.BAQReport.dll
 
 
Client
     Epicor.Mfg.UI.DynamicReportDesigner.dll
     Epicor.Mfg.UIRpt.BAQReport.dll
 
HOW TO APPLY THE SCR FIX
Please test before applying to production.
 
Steps to apply fix:
 
Client
1)  Make a backup copy of the Epicor.Mfg.UI.DynamicReportDesigner.dll file in the Client directory.
2)  Make a backup copy of the Epicor.Mfg.UIRpt.BAQReport.dll file in the Client directory.
3)  Copy this new Epicor.Mfg.UI.DynamicReportDesigner.dll file into the Client Directory.
4)  Copy this new Epicor.Mfg.UIRpt.BAQReport.dll file into the Client Directory.

I don't know if anyone's run into this issue.
 
ERP: Epicor 9.05.702A
 
Problem: 
BAQ Report Designer won't produce the correct XML file from Test Report Form for a Crystal Report.
 
Details:
I created a BAQ for Job Operations. Saved the BAQ as SII-JobOpDtl
Opened BAQ Report Designer: 
 
    Report ID: JobOpDtl
    Description: Job Operation Detail Report
    BAQ ID: SII-JobOpDtl
    Form Title: Job Operation Detail Report
    Crystal Report: JobOpDtl.rpt
 
Clicked Actions --> Test Report Form and I get the DMR Detail Report I created earlier. It doesn't process the JobOpDtl.rpt to give me the desired XML file I require to create a report. It does create a Crystal Report JobOpDtl.rpt though and puts into the Reports folder.
 
Has anyone encountered this issue and have a resolution? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
