E10 Multi Company Configuration

I have used Epicor for five years in a single company configuration. My company wants to add two more companies and allow intercompany transactions from the initial company to the two child companies. I have no experience with multi company configuration. Does anyone have any documentation they are willing to share or a checklist I could follow? Any help would be appreciated!

Just follow the guides, it’s pretty straight-forward. Make sure you own a Multi-Company License, then you will be able to go to the Admin Console and Add New Company (you can then add as many as you like).

You will need to request a new DMT License from your CAM with the additional company identifiers added.

We currently run on 16 Multi-Companies. Thats pretty straightforward, When it comes to Inter-Company there is a bit of setup to do such as making sure you have the proper Inter-Company Customer in your lower companies.

Most of it is about what you are comfortable with. For example, our Part Master is in our HQ Company, no one creates a Part in the Child Companies, you create it in the HQ Company and it will push down, then you link it, there are no Local Parts - they are all Linked to the Global Part Master. Our Customer Master is in our HQ Company, same concept. That’s all policy, procedure dependent, thats the harder part.
