After some great feedback from this group, I’ve decided to rent a virtual server from Amazon for our E10 test server.
This will allow us to get a beefy server to see if we will actually recognize the performance improvements in E10 without buying expensive hardware.
We plan to do all of our upgrade steps on a local server but then copy the database to the AWS server for performance testing.
My questions is, what is required to move an E10 DB from server to server?
In E9 Progress, I had a documented process that included (at a high level):
Restore DB backup to target server
Update System Agent
Rebuild Directives
Rebuild deployed dashboards
