Jeb,
The workaround is great, and looks to solve the problem at least in the short run. I'll put in a support call about it too.
Thanks!

Testing out Kanban Receipts, and having problems.
Using E10.0.700.4
It's a pretty simple flow, just enter the part number and a quantity, and click Update. However, in three separate databases (including the Epicor training database!) I get an error, "There is not a Legal Number defined for this transaction."
In the Epicor 9 training database, the same part number that generated the error in E10 (001_MPCons) works just fine, giving me the expected message, "Kanban Job KBP2428 was Closed and Completed"
Any ideas?
Ernie Lowell
here is one One-off but it is not working and development is still working on it, but if you follow the steps below you won´t get the error anymore and you´ll be able to work with Kanban Receipts
Â
Please advise thanks!!
Â
Â
1)Â Â Â Â Â Â Document Type: Go to Financial>> Accounts Receivable>> Setup>> Transaction Document type
·        New Icon>> New Document Type>> Assign ID and Description>> Select System Transaction “WIP-STK†from the drop down list and also the Default System Transaction and click on save
Â
2)Â Â Â Â Â Â New Legal Number: Go to Financial>> Accounts Receivable>> Setup>> Legal Numbers
·        New Icon>> New Legal Number>> Assign ID and Description>> from Number type select WIP-STOCK>> Select Generation Type “Automaticâ€
·        Select Journal Type, Journal Code and click on Save
Â
Â
·        Go to the Document Type tab and there you will see the document type created in step 1
·        Highlight the line and move it using the arrows to the Assigned Document Type and click on save
Â
Â
After this is done you won´t get the error in Kanban Receipt anymore

This works. Epicor says it will be fixed in 10.1.
