E10.2.500 with Windows 10/11 running slow

Friends,
As a very small company trying to keep costs down, we try to only replace equipment when it is required. Some might say too long. That said, we stuck with running with Windows 7 Pro well past the recommended time. Epicor 10.2 ran great under Windows 7 and when all of the issues I read about here with Windows 10 breaking Epicor, made it feel even better sticking with Windows 7. Finally, over October/November 2022, we bit the bullet and mass upgraded machines to Windows 10 while keeping Epicor at 10.2.300.5. Since the upgrade, everyone has begun complaining about how sluggish Epicor is. All other programs and activities feel the same, Epicor is uniquely slow. Even a brand new higher end machine (i7- 12700) runs equally slow, only with Epicor. When I say slow, the performance really varies. Sometimes screens load so slow, you can see each field populate. Other times, not so bad, but overall, significantly slower than Windows 7. I also realize than many have moved to Kinetic which we are planning to do in 2023, but wondered if others that may be running 10.2 are seeing the same thing and have any suggestions on improvements.

Thanks for the read,
Tim

If the problem is unique to Epicor, I think it might be time to check your database health.

It might be some issue related to Windows 10/11, but it also might not be and your performance
may have just dropped around the same time.

Do you still have any Windows 7 machines with similar specs to test against?

I opted to run a Windows 7 VM under my Windows 10 machine to compare the times. That would certainly be a worst case for Windows 7. In every test, the Windows 7 VM was faster.
