I have deployed a dashboard in my ‘test’ system and done a lot of customization to it.
Can I locate the dll file and copy it to ‘live’ db?
where is the location of the dll file?
Thanks,
bw

any reason you don’t want to use solution manager?
Ignorance?
Did not know deployed dashboards could be moved using solution manager
I will check it out
You’ll have to use solution manager or another means to Export the Customization, then Export the Dashboard, Re-Deploy in Production and Import the customization
SM has gotten pretty awesome in 10…
Solution manager? I’ve been doing it the hard way?
yeah, say you’ve developed a custom business process in a dev environment and it contains baq’s, dashboards, UI’s and bpm’s etc, you can box them all up in a .cab file and you simply deploy it in another environment. It’s very portable, ex:
Damn, I just wrote up an 8 page document with screenshots on how to manually import all of my ‘solutions’ into the Live db to my SysAdmin Where can I find (if its accessible to me) this Solution Manager
Does the solution manager take a ‘snapshot’ of the solutions added or does it actually keep the current copy? I.E. If I make changes to the solution files, do I have to reload them?
Keeps a pointer back to the guid of said record and when you “EXPORT” you get a fresh copy
