Anyone else notice that the Add References Dialog in E10.1.500.8 BPM takes MINUTES to load?

< cough >
it’s looks like a feature

I feel that there may be an ever so slight chance my dear friend that you aren’t being completely 100% sincere with your comment below

I’ll inquire as to why this change was introduced and I’m sure you’ll be tickled that it is this way! (maybe) But in the meantime, hey look, a :snowman:

I just tested mine and it loaded in seconds. I tested a few different BOs and Methods and on subsequent method directives it loaded instantly.

On Version 500?

So I checked again this morning, and it loaded much faster.,
it may have been my connection

We added a new trace to monitor connection failures after enjoying troubleshooting customer performance issues that were using cell networks. Once we started writing out retries we saw the network disappearing constantly and the client valiantly trying to reconnect. Of course to the user the UI looked dog slow.

Digging for that switch

We’ve been using the SSL client. While it doesn’t stop network issues, the “perceived” response seems better than the always on connection. Or am I just imagining this?

Http is a much more forgiving protocol. I have gone to recommending nettcp only for internal to data center connections especially since MS made massive gains in perf in http for dotNet 4.5. When we started Ice3 / E10, the Http stack in WCF did not perform well. No longer the case.

There are a variety of ‘in the box’ options now, all documented well.

Mine also takes a bit to populate. Usually 25-40 seconds
