Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) in Saudi Arabia, has made it mandatory for taxpayers, subject to VAT, to implement E-Invoicing (Fatoorah). As per ZATCA’s guidelines, the invoice will bear a QR code and scanning it will display details such as seller’s name, seller’s VAT registration number, the total invoice amount with VAT,
VAT total amount, invoice date and time.
ZATCA’s mandatory requirements to validate a QR code
Generate and print a QR code encoded in Base64format with up to 500 characters.
The QR code field should have the Tag-Length-Value (TLV) encoded format.
Are you on Prem, if you are the easiest option is find a dll based solution which does the coding for you, if not you can use a QR generating website to go and hot generate the code for you, then supply the img back and dump this into your report which is then printed.
With QR codes becoming more prevalent, I’d hope that Epicor has this as a built-in solution on their radar, instead of forcing us to get a 3rd party DLL or website. Submit an IDEAS request!
@mgoodwin - Yes! I just voted and commented… Add your use case, and Epicor might see more value in it, and integrate it sooner. Too late for Kinetic 2022.2, but maybe 2023.1 spring release next year?
