Dynamic attribute from approved supplier/manufacturer customer specific

Hi, i will explain my situation.
For a specific client/part combination, i can only order material from approved supplier/manufacturer. According to me, the best way would to have a dynamic attributes called supplier, which contains all the approved suppliers for that specific customer.

Since it would be an dynamic attibutes, i can use in in the part master to force the buyer to buy the pârt with the right attribute set.

Would it be possible to use BPM to do something like that.

The problem is depending of the OEM of my customer, the approved supplier and manufacturer are not the same.

I could create different customer number for each customer/oem combination but this is a pain.

How would you guys manage that ?? Thanks for the input

There is functionality out of the box (I think) that allows you to set up approved suppliers by Customer. I would look into that before going down the road of any custom stuff.

Since I need a list of approved supplier for a specific customer/OEM this features is not enough. Also the part made need to have a specific standard on the material used. the only way i see is usin dynamic attributes to force that on the demand side.

You can select approved suppliers for a customer by material or operation. Unless there is something else I am missing, I don’t see why this would not work.

approved supplier by: material (ok)/customer(ok)/OEM/part
this is why i said i could create a customer/oem combination as customer
but there is the part layer still to manage .
The part need to ask for a specific standard (astm…) and this standard need to be forced on the demand side.

I’m not sure what you mean by OEM, if it is Manufacturer of the material, that is also included. This is from 8, so I am sure it is in Kinetic.

OK ill try to explain better with an example.

I have an aerospace customer called cust1.

cust1 order parts for different OEM manufacturer (boieng, safran,…)
cust1 order a part called boeing1 and a part called safran1

those 2 parts are made from the same 1x1 6061 aluminium bar
since they are for different OEM, the standards for the material are different

for the part boeing1, i need to order the material from an boieng approved supplier list, boeing approved manufacturer list, with a specific standard linked to boeing

for the part safran1, i need to order the material from an safran approved supplier list, safran approved manufacturer list, with a specific standard linked to safran

I want to set those list and force the buyer to buy the material with the right supplier/manufacturer/standard
