Do we need to make changes to the Group? Take this poll

I don't think the poll is valid. You need to launch a new one...For example, you can only answer one option. I want new moderators should be separate from the other two items...

I want new moderators - yes
I want a new group - no
I want the Yahoo group - yes

Thanks Brad, the Poll right now we have 50+ responses and it looks like some want to move unfortunately out of 3300+ members 50+ is no enough to make most of us move. Also there is more than 10 years of history in this group which is very helpful and moving that would be a nightmare

A pointer on searching if you get a Gmail address and make that your delivery address for the group then searching becomes a thousand times easier.

Hi guys,
We've been discussing back and furth if changes need to be made to the
Yahoo Group, or if we have to replace it all together. Take this 2 minute
poll and lets see where everyone stands.

I voted to move to something other than Yahoo but I also think we need moderators (although apparently we've lived without them for quite a while). Yahoo is just so limited technically.

Thanks for the gmail tip Jose.

I think once you get entrenched in something like Yahoo Groups, it's
near impossible to get out - it would be a ton of work. I was just
reading the wikipedia entry for Yahoo Groups
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yahoo!_Groups> which says they attempted
a big upgrade that was rejected by the users and eventually abandoned.
Unfortunately, we may be stuck with it the way it is.

Wow, it's worse than I thought. I used the rich text editor and hyperlinked the wikipedia reference in my message below but it was stripped out when I posted. We we can't even use hyperlinks!
