I am getting the above error when loading PartPlant records utilizing the DMT with the ADD NEW check box selected. I am using the same template I’ve used many times prior when build TEST database, but previously, I have always had the ADD NEW and UPDATE check boxes selected and have no issues.
I can reload the data to the DMT, select both ADD and UPDATE and the DMT starts the load with out issues. It is only when I have the ADD New check box selected.
Prior to the PartPlant attempt, I had just used the DMT to "ADD New’ to the parts table and had no issues when I used the ‘ADD New’ check box exclusively.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any resolutions?
If I recall correctly, the PartPlant record gets created automatically for your primary site when you create the Part record. If you don’t have a multi-site license, Epicor is not going to allow you add additional PartPlant records - so you should need to have the update checkbox selected when updating the PartPlant records with the DMT tool.
Thank you for the response, I came to the same conclusion after I tested a little more with part creation and saw that the part Plant record was being created at the time the part was created, so it makes sense. The message could be a little more specific to that and I made have made the connection a little sooner.
