I have a part that was purchased as Buy Direct and linked to a sales order. The part is nonconforming so it is sent to DMR, then a Job for rework. Job demand for stock, order, or job do not fulfill the Buy Direct PO Link, so the order cannot be shipped (message stating that I can’t ship more than the Buy to Order PO release quantity).
Is there any way to move material from a job back to the PO, or to fulfill the link requirement? In this case the PO was unpaid so I was able to remove the link and change the flag on the sales order, but on days that accounting is quicker that might not always be the case.
