DMR-REJ - Posted to GL but cannot find it

So we have a few DMR-REJ records in the Part Transaction history tracker that have posted to the GL.

However we cannot find them in the GL Transactions table, searching by part, DMR#, Non Conformance # or even by the debit/credit amount.

I found that the reject reason does not have GL Control on it. What account would it post to?

The part transaction records do not have a journal number.

What was the resolution on the reject? If it was no further action it does nothing.

Do you have a cost on those inventory transactions ? If the cost is 0, there won’t be any GL transactions. If you have a cost, look in the TranGLC table, set the filters RelatedtoFile=‘PartTran’ and Key3 equal to your inventory transaction number PartTran.TranNum.

As to what GLs are used and when, look in the Epicor’s Inventory Transaction Hierarchy doc (you can get it from EpicWeb). Below screenshot from the one for my version

Its a huge rabbit hole.

As far as I can tell the DMR and Nonconformance were closed - no corrective actions were taken

There were 3 transactions:

  1. Non Conformance Stock Insert Feb 11, 2022 transaction 1268119 – this did not link to the GL Transaction table.

  2. Non Conformance Insert DMR Feb 11, 2022 transaction 1268120 – this did link to the GL transactions. The Debit went to the Part Class DMR account the credit went to another partclass control that is not in EntityGLC. Same transaction#. Super puzzling.

  3. DMR Reject October 4 transaction 1289488 – this did not match to the GL Transaction table.

So thanks you two, I at least now have a way to link to the journals.

The one thing is the PartTran entries do not have a journal code. One has to go to TranGLC for that - it would have saved a lot of head-aches if the journal number was updated. I’m going to make a prototype query to see if it will help Finance.
