DMR Fun Blank Title 115866

I think when you reject in DMR that the cost should hit a DMR write off account....if you don't have one then it will hit a suspense account. If you don't have a suspense account in place then you need to put one there so that you can actually see the costs! Otherwise that will go to la la land as well!

Yes I am talking about the costs not the actual inventory itself.

All accounting gurus can verify my statement....

Epicor/Vantage handles DMR's a little different than other ERP systems.

It is not an on hand quantity but, it does go into DMR land.

There is an open DMR report in the Quality Module. There is a tab in Part
Tracker for DMR's.

When rejecting items in the DMR process has the rejected stock
'disappeared'? We are on 604 and I can see that the transaction type is
DMR-REJ and in the PartTrans table it is marked as an Inventory Transaction
but I can't find the stock and in my mind I should be able to - or am I
missing something?

Hopefully someone can help out with this... We are experiencing the same DMR fun on 607b. There are also times when we DMR purchased material off a job and it doesn't create a demand for purchasing, other times that exact same process works fine. We've been documenting all the incidents but haven't been able to find a pattern. We end up doing a quantity adjustment when the stock transaction is missing, adjusting the job if pieces are still showing - and doing a lot of hand holding any time we issue a DMR to make sure everyone is in the loop and checks their transactions. Not the best mode to be in!
