Anyone have a good method of performing this? Let's say you have a final part called MASTER that's composed of assembled parts A,B,C,D,E. All parts are in the part master.

Usually our jobs are for creating MASTER, so we issue the rest to the job and create MASTER and receive it to inventory.

However we ran into an issue where we needed a couple components for an RMA job, so essentially we needed to disassemble MASTER to its components and receive those components back into inventory.

The only method we found short of Return Misc Material (which woudn't track the time to disassemble or who did it) was to create a job to create A. We also added subassemblies of B,C,D,E. We then issued MASTER as a material to the job. Then we did a Job Receipt to Inventory for all the subassembly pieces.

It's ugly but it works unless there's some other way of doing it?
