I would suggest that you set up a generic printer that print to file. Then you select the generic printer when you want to print to file. Some of the report will not ask for a printer in that case you would have to set the generic printer as your default and it will print to file.
That is how we do it here at Polyvac.
It is messy if you want to open it in Excel but that is one way of doing it.
Another way of printing report to file is by openning the report
Ex:
Production Detail report and do a print preview.
Once you are in print preview goto c:\epicor\mfgwrk61 Or were ever your work directory for Vantage is at and then sort date and time the newest file will start with rpt****.txt copy that file and paste it somewhere else and this way you will get the same report that is showned on your screen. I prefer this method because it doe not wrap text around

We can't get Vantage default reports to "print to file" anywhere in
Vantage 6.1 - has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you
resolve it? Our accounting dept. wants to start printing reports in text
format. Are the printed files going to the "temp" directory and
accounting is supposed to sort it out from all the other stuff going
into that directory?
