Can dashboard display a visual representation of a report? Maybe a bar graph or an actual speedometer type display?

Dashboard is a new type of Alert or a list of things that need action.

You create a BAQ for something (like all Customers on credit hold and tick shared when you do the set up)

Then create a new Favouite Group called Dashboard

Then you attach the BAQ to the Group by doing item maintenance> add> dashboard query and seearch add the BAQ you wrote.

When you click on the item in the Group it displays the Dashboard - right click on it to reset the refresh time in minutes. So it refreshes often.

You can leave the dashboard displaying and click on the Top menu View> Vantage menu to get back to the main menu.

So this amazing tool can be used to alert someone - an example I used in a new implementation :

Person A has added a part and clicked the hold flag "on" with a reason of say costing - because and they want person b to do thier things - like add the cost of the part in cost adjustment.

Person B see's this part on thier Dashboard (cause the BAQ says find all parts with hold flag and reason consting) and spot that they need to do thier bit. They do thier bit then they take off hold flag and it disappears from person B's dashboard.
