Deploying Customized Forms to a Specific Company (Vantage 8.03)

You need to create Menu items for both customizations, each referring to the
relevant customization. Then assign different security groups/users to each
(and add the appropriate users to each group.)

Thanks but these are not reports they're programs in the Vantage menu that
I've customized to add user defined fields and VB Form fields. When I
customize them they are each saved with a unique name and then exported.
When I deploy them I'm selecting and importing the unique customization and
then checking/unchecking the appropriate "Valid for" and "Default" boxes.
Unfortunately, when I close out of company "A" and log onto company "B" the
changes seem to be carrying over.

Hi All,
Preparing to go live with Vantage 8.03. We're creating customized forms (ie, Part Entry, Job Entry, etc.) within a two company organization. Each compnay needs their own customizations. When I deploy the new form it replaces whatever was being used by BOTH companies regardless of which company I'm logged onto when I deploy. I verified that the customizations show the individual company and I checked to be sure I was logged on to the company I want to deploy the form to. Is there a step I'm missing? Advice would be appreciated.
Rick
You need to save each form under the custom reports folder with its own unique
name. Go into report style for each company under company maintenance/report
style and point it to the correct form and name the report style. Then make sure
you tell it which company from your list this report style is valid for and
whether you want it to be the default or not
