I always deleted them when people parted ways with the company. They will
still show up just fine as a username stamp in PartTran and elsewhere even
after deletion.

Only caveat -- Vantage fails to delete some of the associated items from
other tables. The Favorites (FavFolder & FavItems) and Security tables
come to mind; there may be others. There should be triggers or program
logic to clean these up. Someone wanna' submit a request?

There is one related problem I've encountered. You can not delete a user
defined menu item (like you might create for report builder reports) if a
user has a favorites item pointing to it. You can use report builder to
determine the culprit. But if it is a deleted user, you have to re-add
them, delete the favorites, and re-delete the user to get rid of the menu item.

I have been wondering about this for awhile, and just never got around to
asking. We have a number of Users in Vantage that have been disabled.
Is it safe to delete these users?

I've deleted users, (it doesn't delete them out of transaction records), but
you can't delete shop employees.
